Life is Beautiful

One of Zo's close friends and my visiting teacher had their baby boy yesterday. The little buddy weighed in at 2 lbs. 15 oz. He came 2 months early.I haven't even met Brecken yet, and I only see John and Halsey at church, the occasional college basketball game, and when John takes my husband hunting...but as someone who lost a pregnancy this last year, this little guy gives me a very strong feeling of HOPE.MIRACLES DO EXIST.
Congrats to John and Halsey!

But I Still Love Technology...

ALWAYS AND FOREVER!
(remember that song from Napoleon Dynamite?!)
So 2 new babies have entered my life in the last couple weeks!

I got a BRAND NEW LAPTOP! I've had the same 12-inch Mac Powerbook G4 since I was in high school and sadly had to part with it for a brand new Macbook Pro. Let me tell you, if laptops had looks, this one would be DEAD SEXY! :D Haha! Seriously! I love it! Maybe it will motivate me to blog more! :) Or even better, help me get my school work done! Ha, yeah right! ;)I also got a new cell phone, which is pretty exciting too! It's the ENV Touch. I was a little nervous getting a phone with a keyboard, but I didn't want a phone that only had a touch screen, and so far, I'm happy with my choice. :)I don't mean to sound braggy, but I just love technology (it's the Asian-ness in me!), and when you don't get the brand new stuff very often, you really appreciate how much it helps in the day-to-day workings of life. :)

Viva Las Vegas

This past weekend has been a crazy one! We just got back from LAS VEGAS over the weekend! :D This trip is probably one of the most spontaneous things we've ever done in our married lives. We decided to go on Thursday, and then left the next night! It was so much fun! :D We ate some sushi (I love love LOVE sushi), did some shopping, and just walked around on the strip. I love the Vegas, but it still boggles my mind how many people are traveling to and from there and that everything is open...ALL THE TIME! o.O One night, we had dinner at the Bellagio at like 11:30 PM and the restaurant was FULL on a Sunday! That would never happen here in little Bozeman! :)

Coach A!

Whew! Zo has finally finished coaching football for Belgrade 7th grade this fall, and it was a rough season! >.< The team went 1-5 for the season...the WORST record Zo has ever had in his 5 years of coaching. :( Now, before you starting questioning the coaching skills of my husband, he had a really difficult group of kids this year.
1. The entire 7th grade was divided into 2 teams, and whenever this happens, typically one team gets stacked and the other one gets short sticked. Zo's team was the latter.
2. Swine Flu hit the Belgrade school system like a ton of bricks this year. The high school had 300 students (out of an 800 student body) absent in one day! Nearly half of Zo's team was missing at the last game and the majority of the ones who were there were sick. :(
3. The little kiddies were just plain lazy! Every single game, you could hear Zo screaming at them to hustle and to concentrate. It was like none of them really had an interest in football at all!Belgrade vs. LivingstonDespite all of the hardships with this year, I think it was a great lesson for Zo in his coaching career. It definitely tested his patience...time and time again. :) Plus, I think with having just 1 or 2 kids who had any sort of talent at all, he didn't have the challenge of making sure all the kids get equal playing time, which is a common complaint among parents. That is typically the biggest problem he faces when coaching, and with having that challenge out of the way, he was able to improve on different areas. Besides all that, maybe after this season, it will give him some motivation to move up from the middle school level. To be honest, it's not as much fun to watch because they're still so LITTLE! :)

Jim & Pam

They finally tied the knot on the Office. :)

the best moment of the show was...

If you don't get what's going on, right before the wedding was supposed to start, Pam accidentally tore her veil and asked for Jim to come talk to her. She starts crying because she is so stressed about everything and asks him why they invited so many people. So they run away and get married on a boat in front of the Niagara Falls. After they get back, they are so happy that they don't really even care what happens during the ceremony. Their boss, Michael Scott (who has to be the most obnoxious and outrageously awkward human being on the planet), has a surprise for them where everyone replicates a recent Youtube video of the wedding party dancing to "Forever" by Chris Brown while walking down the aisle.

I laughed AND cried...and yes, I know I'm lame. :) The rest of the show is kind of whatever but I've always loved Jim and Pam and always will!

Mission Reunion

Last weekend, my beautiful wife and I went down to Utah during conference weekend to go to my mission reunion. I served in the Paris, France mission. It was so cool to see some old friends, and my mission president and his wife were also there, which was the highlight of the reunion. I hadn't seen them since the mission, and they are the most amazing people I've ever known. We didn't get too many pictures and they are blurry.
Ashley, me, President and Sister BennionHere are some pictures of me on my mission that Ashley put on her computer a while ago.
opening my letter...me with President and Sister Bennion at the end of my missionWe also got to spend the rest of the weekend with my older brother, Abe, and his wife and kids. We went around on temple square and did a little shopping. It was a quick little trip but we are glad to be back home and out of the Utah bubble.
